Lado Electro project: traditional, yet modern

The folk song and dance ensemble Lado is a keeper of tradition, delighting numerous audiences for more than seven decades now. This folklore tradition gave roots to the Lado Electro project, which – to many a fan's delight – answers a specific question: What does the fusion of Croatian traditional and modern electronic music sound like?

Lado Electro was founded by Boris Harfman, a long-standing member of the Lado ensemble, and Hrvoje Crnić, better known as DJ Boxer. Their live performances with the popular Ladarice ensemble make for an authentic approach that combines folklore elements with electronic music. Through the Lado Electro project, traditional music is remodeled with a new, electronic sound which brings together fans of both genres, doing away with generational gaps.
